Applications on plain paper  are invited from candidates for the temporary position of Research Associate and Senior Research Fellow under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) National Fellow scheme “Development of sensitive and specific diagnostic assay for the detection of warble fly infestation in goats and eradication of the disease from Jammu and Kashmir” as detailed below:

Post Name : Research Associate (01 Post)

Essential Qualification : PhD in Parasitology / Immunology /Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry OR MVSc/MSc in Parasitology / Immunology/ Biotechnology /Microbiology/Biochemistry with 1 st Division or Master’s degree in the relevant subject with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, wit at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship / Associateship /Training/other engagements as circulated vide F. No. 2-9/2012-HRD dated 25.04.2014.

Desired : Candidates should have working experience in parasitology, western blotting, cloning, protein expression, sequencing , immunoassays (ELISA) and should be well versed with bioinformatics software’s and computer knowledge. Published research papers will be desirable

Salary : Based on his/her research experience a particular associate may be placed at one of the 3 pay levels given below depending upon the qualification and experience:

Research Associate- I : Rs. 36000/-
Research Associate- II : Rs.38000/-
Research Associate- III : Rs.40000/-

Post Name : Senior Research Fellow (01 Post)

Eligibility : MVSc/MSc in Parasitology/ Immunology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidate having Post Graduate Degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification as mentioned in the OM SR/S9/Z- 09/2012 of DST dated 21.10.2014

Desired : Candidates should have working experience in parasitology, western blotting, cloning, protein expression, sequencing, immunoassays (ELISA)

Salary : Rs. 28,000/- (Allowance: House rent allowance will be provided as applicable)

Age : Age limit on the date of interview for both RA and SRF: 40 years for men 45 years for women.

Last date : 24th Aug 2017
