J&K Police Advertisement Notice for Engagement of SPOs from Border Areas (0-10 Kms) of District Samba

Reference : PHQJ&K order No. 4038 of 2018 dated 03.08.2018 issued under endorsement No. GB/M-32/2016-II/54110-60 dated 03.08.2018.

Application forms are invited (as per enclosed proforma) from the candidates of border areas residing between 0-10 kms from International border having border certificates issued by concerned Tehsildar of District Samba for their engagement as Special Police Officer (SPOs) in J&K Police against the monthly honorarium as admissible in terms of Policy of Government for such engagements.

The application forms should be accompanied by attested copies of the following certificates

DOB certificate (Matriculation)

Qualification certificate

State Subject

Four copies of recent passport size photographs.

The application forms can be deposited in District Police Office, Nandhini Hills, Samba w.e.f 29 Nov 2018 to 13 Dec 2018 up to 1700 hrs during working days between 10.00 am to 05.00 pm.

No forms shall be accepted beyond the prescribed date/time.

The educational qualification, age and physical standards prescribed for engagement are specified as under:

1.	Educational Qualification		Matric (minimum)
2.	Age (as on 31.10.2018)		Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 28 years of age.
3.	Physical Standard	Male	Female
		Height (5′-6″) minimum Chest 32″ (unexpanded) 33 J4 “(expanded)	(5′-2″) minimum .
i)	Physical Endurance test	Male 1600 mtrs race in 6 minutes and 15 seconds.	Female 1000 mtrs race in 6 minutes and 15 seconds.
ii)	Push Ups	For male only – 20 ( one cycle up and down to be counted as one)

The marks shall be awarded as per below criteria:

Educational Qualification :

3.	Graduate and above	15 Marks

However, for every additional inch, one marks shall be added subject to maximum of 15 marks. Note: All the tests shall be qualifying in nature.

1	Application forms incomplete in any manner or not filled up properly shall be rejected.
2.	The engagement is purely on temporary basis as no claim shall lie for permanent absorption/continuous engagement.
3.	Indiscipline of any kind including absence from duty shall render the engagement as nullified without any notice.
4.	Authority competent shall reserve the right to terminate the engagement at any time without any notice/assigning of cause of disengagement.
5	No preference shall be given to higher qualification.
6.	Engagement shall be made on the basis of age factor read with educational rationale in matriculation.
