Weather will improve on Sunday though more rains are predicted from Monday onwards in Jammu & Kashmir.

Beginning tomorrow for next three days North Indian hills-Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir but more so Uttarakhand- are in for some more “heavy to very heavy” rain.

A Met department spokesperson told hat light to moderate rain and thundershowers would occur at many places in the state during the next 24 hours. “There will be decrease in rainfall activity in the state on Sunday,” he said.

However, he said more rains are predicted from Monday onwards in the state. Meanwhile, incessant rains continued during the next 48 hours in the valley, where maximum and minimum temperatures settled several degrees below normal.

Jammu and Kashmir, where the authorities had issued a flood alert, will record “moderate rain with one or two heavy spells”.
