3 militants killed in Doda gunfight, search operation on

Three unidentified militants have been killed in a gunfight in Sinoo area of Gandoha in Doda district on Wednesday.

A senior police officer told that three militants have been killed so far while as search operation is still underway in the area. The identity of the militants will be only ascertained once the operation concludes.

Also, from their possession, Arms and Ammunition, including a US-made M4 rifle, have also been recovered.

Earlier, a joint team of Police and security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Sinoo area on a very specific input.

As the joint team approached the suspected area, the hiding militants fired upon the joint party, leading to an encounter.


Militant killed in ongoing gunfight in Doda

One unidentified militant was killed in an ongoing gunfight in the Gandoh area of the Doda district on Wednesday.

Official sources said that an encounter ensued between militants and security after security forces received specific input. While the cordon was being laid, the hiding militants fired upon the joint team, triggering an encounter.

Encounter breaks out in Doda Sinnu forests

An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in Sinnu forests near Kota Top in Gundoh area of Doda district, officials said.

Officials told news agency that following inputs, security forces trapped the hiding terrorists in the Sinnu forest area.

“The encounter is underway. Once it is over further details will be shared,” SSP Doda Javed Iqbal told news agency

According to the sources three terrorists are believed to be trapped in the encounter.

Since June 12 security forces have launched a massive combing operation after contact was established with terrorists in the area. Today the contact was re-established and the encounter is underway.
