J&K Islamic University of Science and Technology appointment of Vice Chancellor.
Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has been established by Act no XVIII of 2005 of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir. The “Search Committee” constituted by the Hon’ble Chancellor of the University (Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor J&K) is seeking applications / nominations for the position of Vice Chancellor, IUST.
The Vice Chancellor, being the academic and administrative head, is expected to be:
A person possessing the highest level of competence, integrity, morals, and institutional commitment.
A distinguished academician, with a minimum of 10 years of experience as Professor in a University or 10 years of experience in a reputed research and/ or academic administrative organization with proof of having demonstrated
academic leadership.
Not more than 65 years of age on the closing date of receipt of applications of this advertisement.
Salary and Service Conditions
The post shall carry a pay of Rs 2,10,000/- (Fixed) per month with Special Allowance of Rs 11,250/- plus usual allowances as admissible.
The terms and conditions of the services shall be those as set forth in the Act, Statutes and Ordinances of the University.
Procedure for Appointment
Appointment will be made from a panel of names recommended by the Search Committee constituted under the provisions of Islamic University of Science and Technology Act 2005.
