Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the following temporary positions in DST- Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB) funded research project “Exploring genetic variation on the control of resistance to diseases in goat breeds of North—Western Himalayan region” in the division of Livestock Production and Management.

Funding agency : DST-SERB I

Minimum Educational Qualification : M V Sc in any discipline of veterinary science / animal husbandry with a minimum of 60% marks (or equivalent grade).

Preference : Candidates having Ph.D. / NET qualification and research experience will be preferred.

Fellowship / pay amount : Rs. 18,000 + HRA / month. The candidate would be placed in the monthly emolument of Rs. 20000 + HRA after two years.

Tenure of the post : February 2023, extendable subjected to the extension of project .

Age : 32 years. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women and Physically disabled candidates as per government norms .

Terms and conditions for the project:

Appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation at the termination of the research project.

The appointed person will have no claim of appointment / absorption in Funding Agency or in SKUAST-Jammu. Appointment of the applicant will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency particularly applicable to this project.

The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.

The Screening Committee may restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview after taking into consideration the qualifications and experience as per the advertisement.

No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview. Selected candidates will have to join duty within a period of one week after the receipt of the offer.
