A Gujarat couple died in a rafting accident near Pahalgam

A Gujarati couple drowned in a rafting boat accident on Monday at the Kashmir hill station Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

According to police officials, a rafting boat capsized in the Laddar River due to high winds.

They added that rescue personnel recovered the remains of a Gujarat couple, while a lady from Mumbai was rescued and her condition is described as serious.

Patil Sharmilaben and her spouse Petel Bhikhabhai Ambalal of Saijapurbogha, Ahmadabad Gujarat, have been identified as the dead couple.

Muskan Khan, the wife of Parveen Sheikh, has been identified as the Mumbai tourist whose health is critical and who is being treated at GMC Anantnag.
