Cheetah Copter Crash In Bandipora: Pilot Killed, Another Injured
A pilot was killed and another injured after Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashed in Baraum area of the Tulail Gurez on Thursday afternoon. The copter had gone to lift an ailing BSF soldier and crashed before reaching the Gurez sector to left to soldier, officials said.
An Army officer told that body of one pilot was recovered while another was evacuated in injured condition and admitted to hospital in serious condition.
A police officer said that there was pilot and a co-pilot in the copter when it crashed into the snow-bound Baraum area this afternoon
Army chopper crashes in Bandipora’s Gurez
An army chopper crashed in Gujran Nallah at Tulail area of Gurez in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday afternoon, Officials said.
An army chopper crashed in Gujran Nallah area in Gurez valley following which a rescue operation has been immediately launched.
However, sources said that the fate of pilot and co—pilot was being ascertained. It is belived that pilot and co pilot ejected safely but there was no word from officials yet.
SDM Gurez told that the communication with the army chopper has been lost. “We are ascertaining the details,” he said—
