Dozens injured in road accident in Jammu
A tragic incident has occurred in which several persons have suffered wounds in Kathua on Wednesday.
According to the report, the mishap happened when a speeding truck bearing registration number (PB06AU5137) hit a Mahindra pick-up truck (JK080B649) on Jammu-Pathankot National highway in Logate area of Jammu, resulting injuries to 16 labourers travelling in it.
After the mishap, the wounded were taken to GMC Kathua for the treatment. However three of the victims among 16 have suffered critical injuries.
“The Mahindra truck was going with a concrete mixer in it along with 15 passengers then a speeding truck came from and behind hit it” Ram Kumar, an eyewitness of the incident said.
“There are 16 victims that came to us one is a pregnant lady, there is a kid who is bleeding. Three victims have head injuries” a doctor of GMC Kathua said
he identities of the victims still yet to be ascertain.
