Encounter triggered in Srinagar, 01 cop injured
Srinagar Encounter Update: Vehicle (scooter) used by two militants of militant outfit LeT seized from the incident site. Besides, one Ak-74 rifle and two grenades have been recovered. Search still going on. Further details shall follow: Kashmir Zone Police
A policeman was injured during an ongoing encounter that occurred in the Nowhatta in Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on the evening of Sunday.
A top police officer has told that a cop had suffered injuries during the ongoing shootout at Nowhatta.
While this report was being written, shooting between militants and police was taking place.
Kashmir Police Zone tweeted, “Chance iencountert began in the Nowhatta region of Srinagar. Police and CRPF are in action. More details will follow”.
