Jammu University Admission Notification B.E. Lateral Entry Scheme
Application on prescribed form are invited from eligible candidates for admission to B.E Programme 2nd Year/3rd Semester under Lateral Entry Scheme for the session 2021-22 in the Colleges affiliated to University of Jammu, Jammu in the following disciplines :
Civil Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Computer Engineering
Information Technology Engineering
Online Application Form may be filled by the eligible candidates w.e.f 06.09.2021 through a domain link: gcetlateralentry.co.in also available on the college website: www.gcetjammu.org.in
Last date for submission of Online Application Form is 27.09.2021.
Mandatory : Candidates have to submit the printout of duly filled in Application form downloaded from the aforementioned link along with the Demand Draft in favour of the Principal, GCET Jammu in the office of undersigned by post or in-person latest by 05.10.2021
ELIGIBILITY :
The Applicant must:
be a Domicile of J&K UT.
have passed three year’s Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc (NonMedical). However the candidates appearing/appeared in 6th Semester Diploma Examination/Final year B.Sc can also apply to appear in LESET 2021. Such candidates have to produce their original marks cards before or at the time of counselling/selection, if they figure in the list of the candidates qualified or called for counselling as the case may be. If a candidate has been called for counselling but has failed to produce original marks card in the qualifying examination, he/she shall not be considered for admission.
NOTE :
There is no upper age bar for appearing in the Entrance Test for Admission to Engineering Courses, both in Government and Private Colleges.
INSTRUCTIONS :
No under process certificate will be accepted.
The information provided by the candidates in the online Application Form is verified from the original documents at the time of Counselling and Admission. If at any stage, it is found that a candidate has provided false or incorrect information in respect of any eligibility condition(s), his/her candidature will be cancelled without any further notice.
Reservation as per the Government rules in vogue.
The sports category candidates have to indicate their sports category on the Application Form. They are also required to submit their Sports points at the time of counselling issued by the Secretary, J&K Sports Council Jammu/ Srinagar.
The candidates having more than one reserved category shall get benefit of the category indicated in the Application Form, which in no case can be changed. The candidate, whose category certificate is not found valid, will be considered in open merit, if otherwise found eligible without any further notice.
