J&K Handloom Department Admission Notification for Handloom & Textile Technology Diploma Session 2021-22

Application form for admission to the Diploma Programme in Handloom & Textile
Technology (Three Years of Six Semesters) for the Academic Session 2021-22.

Applications on the prescribed form (as per Annexure-I) are invited for selection of candidates for admission to Diploma Programme in Handloom & Textile Technology (Three years of Six Semesters) for the Academic Session 2021-
22, at the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology, Varanasi. The eligibility criteria and other details for admission to the Diploma Programme in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) are given as under:-

Education Qualification:

The Candidate should have passed 10th standard or equivalent examination with English as a subject of study.

Age Limit:

The candidate applying for the course should be between 15 to 23 years of age and for SC/ST candidates, it is between 15 to 25 years as on 1.07.2021

Application forms which are available in the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu and all Offices of Assistant Directors Handlooms, duly filled in and complete in all respects should be accompanied with the attested copies of matriculation Certificate, Marks list, Date of Birth Certificate, Character Certificate, Fitness Certificate, Category Certificate, a Certificate belonging to weaver’s family, experience certificate if any and Adhaar card.

Stipend:

Each student admitted in the course as stipendiary student will be paid Rs. 1000/- per month in 1st year, Rs. 1100/- per month in 2nd year (3rd & 4th Semester) and Rs. 1200/- per month in 3rd year (5th & 6th Semester) for the duration of course (tenable for 10 months from July to April). The student selected for admission is required to execute the stipend bond in the prescribed form.

Reservation:

As per the UT Govt. Policy. In addition, a minimum 20% of the total seats allotted to the UT are reserved for candidates belonging to Weavers Community.
Shortfall, if any, will be met out from the candidates other than those belonging to the Weaver’s community.

The complete forms should be delivered personally in the office of the Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Jammu, JLNUdyog Bhawan, 3rd Floor, Rail Head  Complex, Jammu or in the office of Assistant Director Handloom of respective
Districts, by or before 05.07.2021, alongwith the following self-attested documents:-

Educational Qualification Certificate.

Matriculation Certificate for purpose of D.O.B.

Domicile Certificate.

Copy of Aadhar Card.

Reserved Category Certificate, if any.

No T.A/D.A will be given to candidates for attending the counseling at IIHT Varanasi.
