GMC Srinagar Selection List for Post of Laboratory Technical
applications were invited through mail from the eligible candidates for filling up of various positions on contract basis to strengthen the manpower for augmentation of COVID-19 testing in the Department of Microbiology, Govt. Medical College, Srinagar;
Whereas, among other posts, three (03) positions of Laboratory Technicians with following eligibility criteria were advertised vide aforesaid notification for selection/engagement of the suitable candidates: “B.Sc. Medical Lab.Technology. Persons possessing higher qualification will be given preference? Whereas, vide letter No.SHS/NHM/J&K/DNo-J/3496- 3501, Dated: 15.06.2020 from Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K, this institution has been authorized to hire/engage six Laboratory Technicians for a period of three months;
Whereas, on scrutiny of the mails received in response to the above notification, 115 candidates were found provisionally eligible for the post of Laboratory Technician; Whereas, in view of large number of applications and non- uniformity in the grading/marks of their technical qualification, the applicants were put to a written test on 16.06.2020, comprising of 70 multiple choice questions based on the syllabus prescribed for B.Sc Medical Lab Technology;
Whereas, out of 115 candidates, only 83 candidates appeared in the said test; Whereas, the answer/responses of the candidates who appeared in the written test were got evaluated as per the key framed by the Paper Setter/subject expert;
Now therefore, on the basis of evaluation carried out in accordance with the key, the result of the candidates who appeared in the written test is hereby notified in Annexure (A) to the notification (available on official website of Govt. Medical College, Srinagar. i.e. www.gmcs.edu.in.) Consequent upon above and on the basis of marks obtained in the written test, the selection/wait list against the authorized positions is given in Annexure (B) to this notification.
