IPL 2023: J&K’s Rasikh Salam Released After KKR Updated Retained And Released List Of Players

The 10 Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises have to announce their Retention List to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ahead of the IPL 2023 mini auction of December 23 in Kochi. Kolkata Knight Riders have lost the services of Pat Cummins, Sam Billings, Aaron Finch and Alex Hales for IPL 2023. In return, they have brought in Lockie Ferguson, Shardul Thakur and Rahmanullah Gurbaz.

Ajinkya Rahane, Rasik Salam, Shivam Mavi and other players are among the Indians to have been released. KKR will go into December’s auctions with 16 slots to fill with a budget of INR 7.05 crore

Post the KKR’s poor performance in their last outing KKR might seek to make some changes. Though the 2023 auction is a mini-auction, KKR might not risk losing their core players. The transfer window for players will be open till about a week prior to the auction and will re-open after that.
