Over 100 Bicycle Points Coming Up in Srinagar
According to an official, the introduction of various cycle tracks in different parts of Srinagar city will help to alleviate traffic congestion.
As part of the Smart City project, the city is undergoing significant changes, and upon completion, it will have over 100 cycling points where people can rent cycles.
Work is being fast-tracked on cycle tracks, smart vending zones, VMDs, and parking lots among other new projects started under the Smart City project in Srinagar.
The official stated that the new cycle tracks will enable cyclists to experience the heritage and culture of Srinagar.
Last year, the District Administration of Srinagar collaborated with a Bhopal-based startup to encourage the use of bicycles on Srinagar roads. According to the official, cycling not only helps reduce pollution but also eases traffic congestion.
