Jammu: Four of family died, 1 injured in accident

Four persons of a family killed and one suffered injury when a car in which they were travelling plunged into Raggi Nala in Doda district on Tuesday.

The report said that the deceased persons were travelling in a Swift Desire from Bhala to Jammu, when their car swung out of control and fell into the gorge in Doda, leaving the four occupants of the car dead and hurting its driver.

After the incident, the locals started a search operation along with others and retrieved the bodies from the gorge.

The deceased have been identified as Om Prasad s/o Amarnath,60, Radha Devi w/o Om Prasad,52, Ved Prasad s/o Amarnath, 67, Raj Kumari w/o Ram Ratan Lal all residents of Bhala area of Doda.

The injured driver has been identified as Mohd Aslam (25) s/o Abdul Ghani r/o Bhala of Doda.
Jammu has become hotspot of road accidents as earlier this morning 10 died and approximately 60 people suffered injuries in Jhajjar Kotli of Jammu.
