In the midst of this, the winter chill has tightened its grip on Kashmir, with Srinagar recording a bone-chilling temperature of minus 4.6°C. The drop in minimum temperature adds to the challenges faced by locals, especially with the anticipation of dry weather persisting.
Addressing the current weather conditions, a meteorological official stated, “Generally cloudy weather with light rain and snow over isolated middle & higher reaches is expected during January 16th & 20th night.”
However, there is no significant weather activity anticipated until January 24th, with the possibility of light rain and snow at scattered places from January 25th to 27th, according to various models. Updates will be provided as the situation evolves in the coming days.
