NOTICE FOR PROFICIENCY TEST/INTERVIEW

The Department of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing, J&K invites applications for Interview/ Proficiency Test for engagement under the project titled, ‘Internal Monitoring of Wular Lake’ sponsored by Wular Lake Conservation and management Authority on temporary / project-mode basis for the project period 2024-25 only, or co-terminus with the project as per availability of funds, which ever is earlier. The eligibility, experience, monthly emoluments and number of positions are as provided herein below :

Note : Candidates in their own interest should satisfy themselves, before applying for any position, that they are eligible for the positions applied for. viz, requisite qualification and requisite experience. There shall be no change in the eligibility criteria and terms/conditions.

General Conditions :

1. The engagement is purely temporary on project mode and shall not confer any right to regularization or permanent engagement.

2. The engagement is for the period ending March 2025 or co-terminus with the project, whichever is earlier as per availability of funds.

3. The engagement may be extended for a period upto one year each time based on satisfactory performance.

4. The project will be head quartered out of Jammu/Srinagar and the engagee will have to travel throughout the UT as per the requirements of the project.

5. Eligible candidates, satisfying above criteria who are domicile of J&K should furnish copies of documents/certificates (viz, duly filled up Application form – Annexure-A, Domicile certificate of J&K, Qualification Certificate, Experience, etc.) by or before 16/1112024 ,via email to [email protected].(Mention the name of designation applied for in subject).

6. The list of screened candidates eligible for interview will be uploaded on the Department’s website.

7. Candidates called for Interview will have to produce all relevant original documents along with a set of self-attested photocopies at the time of Selection Process. If at any stage of the recruitment process, any information furnished is found to be wrong/false or facts found suppressed the candidate will not be allowed for Interview, and if selected/ appointed, he is liable to be terminated without assigning any reason.

8. Candidates with experience from Private Organization having worked in government projects, should get the experience certificate countersigned/stamped from the concerned Government Department for which the Project was undertaken. The experience certificate should clearly depict the work assignments performed. The experience claimed shall have to be supported by certificates issued by the concerned employer, in the relevant field only, stating clearly the number of months of experiences in the relevant field.

9. Proficiency/Interview test of the candidates selected after screening, shall be done by Committee constituted for the purpose.

10. The interview shall be held at Department of Ecology, Environment & Remote Sensing (DEE&RS), Paryavaran Bhawan, Transport Nagar, Gladni, Jammu-180006 or SDA Colony, Bemina Srinagar via hybrid mode.

11. The application form can be downloaded from the departmental website www.jkdeers.jk.gov.in.

12. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

13. Candidates in their own interest are requested to frequently check the Departmental website for updates.

14. The selectee shall have to work at Srinagar or Jammu, as per the requirement of the Department during the project period. The dates mentioned above are liable to change in case of any unforeseen circumstances.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible to be called for interview. A duly constituted Screening Committee shall screen the applications received for the posts based on the given eligibility criteria and may fix criteria as it may consider necessary for shortlisting the candidates for interview.

The eligible candidates shall be subjected to proficiency test/interview by the Screening Committee to be constituted for the purpose. On the basis of marks obtained in the proficiency test (maximum70 marks) and Interview (maximum 25 marks). Candidates having additional experience of every one year beyond the minimum prescribed experience would be assigned one mark for every year of additional experience (maximum 05 marks) to be decided by the selection Committee during the interview.
