Notification of Waiting List for Recruitment of Assistant Professors advertised vide Advertisement Notice No. 02 of 2019 dated: 20-02-2019

WHEREAS, the University notified Advertisement Notice No. 02 of 2019 dated: 20-02-2019 for recruitment of various faculty positions in different disciplines including three position of Assistant Professors in the Department of Chemistry.

WHEREAS, on the recommendations of the Selection Committee and upon receipt of CID clearance, appointment orders were issued in respect of the selected candidates, and;

WHEREAS, the appointment of one candidate was kept in abeyance vide University Order No. 48 (Est.) of 2022 dated: 07-12-2022, due to receipt of revised CID report (Adverse) vide letter No. CID/VB/EVS/22/28614 dated: 05-12-2022 and the joining report of the appointee submitted on the same day (05-12-2022) was not considered by the University; and

WHEREAS, upon the recommendations of UT Level Screening Committee and the instructions sought from the Higher Education Department, Govt. of J&K, the appointment of the said candidate as Assitant Professor was cancelled abinitio vide University Order No. 46 (Est.) of 2022 dated: 02-12-2022 read with University Order No. 48 (Est.) of 2022 dated: 07-12-2022, and

WHEREAS, upon receipt of representation from one of the candidates figuring in the waiting list and following the cancellation of the appointment of the aforementioned selected candidate, the University constituted a committee to look into the operationalization of waiting list and recommendations thereof, and

WHEREAS, the committee submitted its recommendations which were subsequently approved by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, it has been recommended that the waiting list may be utilized to fill the vacancy caused by the cancellation of the appointment.

NOW THEREFORE, based on the recommendations of the selection Committee constituted for the purpose and its approval by the Competent Authority, the University shall operates the following waiting list for appointment of Assistant Professor-Chemistry to fill up the vacancy caused due to cancellation of earlier appointment.

This notification is issued subject to the outcome of any petition(s) pending in any Competent Court of Law.
