Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification :
As mentioned in the official notification of CSIR IIIM J&K Recruitment 2025, the post-wise qualifications required are:
Technical Assistant: Degree / Diploma in the relevant area.
Technician:
SSC/10th Standard with Science subjects and ITI Certificate or National/State Trade Certificate in the relevant trade.
OR SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects and 2 years of experience as an apprentice trainee from a recognized institution.
OR SSC/10th Standard with Science subjects and 3 years of work experience in the relevant trade in government organizations or PSUs.
Age Limit :
Before applying, candidates must fulfill the age requirement criteria as mentioned in the notification of CSIR IIIM J&K Recruitment 2025. The upper age limit for UR candidates is 28 years for all posts. The cut-off date for determining the upper age limit will be the last date for receipt of applications. Age relaxation is available as follows:
5 years for SC/ST candidates
3 years for OBC candidates
Other relaxations as per government rules
Application Fee :
Candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹500/- by way of Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque drawn in favor of ‘Director, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu’ payable at Jammu.
SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-servicemen/Abroad Candidates and regular CSIR Employees are exempt from paying the application fee.
Selection Process :
The selection process for these posts involves two main stages:
Trade/Skill Test – Candidates recommended by the Screening Committee will be invited for this stage.
Competitive Written Examination – Candidates who qualify the Trade/Skill Test will be eligible for the written exam. The final merit list will be prepared based on the written examination scores.
For these posts, the written exam will consist of three papers:
Paper I: To be qualified for Paper II and Paper III.
Paper II & III: Only evaluated for candidates who meet the threshold marks in Paper I.
