Appointment of Assistant Professor (English) in the Higher Education Department.

Government Order No: 63 -3K(HE) of 2025. Dated: 04 -02-2025

In continuation to the Government Order No. 196-JK(HE) of 2024 dated 16-03-2024 read with Government Order No. 198-JK(HE) of 2024 dated 16.03.2024, Government Order No 327-JK(HE) of 2024 dated 06.06.2024 and Government Order No. 427-JK(HE) of 2024 dated 16.08.2024 and as recommended by the J&K Public Service Commission, sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Mr. Sarjeet Kumar S/o Sh. Ved Parkash R/o 28 village Jatheli Mohalla, under EWS Category as Assistant Professor (English) on Regular Temporary basis in the Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100 with AGP Rs.6000/- (Pre-revised) Academic Level-10 with Pay Structure of Rs.57700/-), in the Higher Education Department notionally w.e.f. 16-03-2024 and monetarily with immediate effect.

The above mentioned candidate shall report to the Nodal Principal, Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu within a period of 21 days from the date of issuance of this order failing which his appointment shall be deemed to have been cancelled without any notice.

The appointment of candidate shall be subject to the following conditions :-

1. The appointee will be on probation for a period of two years from the date of joining.

2. The appointment of the candidate shall be governed by the New Pension Scheme” as per SRO-400 of 2009 dated 24-12-2009.

3. The appointee shall, at the time of joining, produce the following testimonials in original which will be verified by the concerned Principal:-

a. Domicile Certificate.

b. Date of Birth Certificate.

c. Qualification and Marks Certificate i.e. NET/SLET/Ph.D. etc and Marks cards/Degrees.

d. Category certificate as may be applicable to the appointee.

e. health and Medical Certificate.

f. Any other certificate as required under law.

The salary of the appointee shall be drawn and disbursed only after the receipt of the satisfactory report in respect of genuineness of the Qualification/Date of Birth/Relevant Category Certificate and subject to production of an Affidavit as per Annexure-A to this order.

The inter-se-seniority of the candidate shall be determined in terms of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.

The appointment of the candidate shall remain provisional till such time the certificates are got verified by the concerned Principal and are found to be in order. In case any certificate Is found to be fake, inadequate or not consistent with the eligibility requirements, the appointment of the candidate shall be deemed to have been cancelled ab-initio.

The appointment of the candidate shall be subject to outcome of Writ Petition(s), if any, pending before any competent Court of law on the subject.
