JK High Court Important Notice regarding written Examination for Junior Assistant Post

Compensatory time and scribe facility for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates, appearing in the OMR Based written Examination for the post of Junior Assistant.

It is hereby notified for the information of the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates appearing in the O:MR Based written Examination for the post of Junior· Assistant to be held on 16.03.2025 at Srinagar & 23.03.2025 at Jammu, that compensatory
time of30 minutes shall be provided to the eligible candidates with Benchmark Disabilities as defined under section 2 (r) of the Right of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and has limitation in writing including that of speed if so desired by him/her.

In case of person with Benchmark disabilities in the category of blindness, locomotor disability (both arm affected-BA) and cerebral palsy, the facility of compensatory time/scribe shall be given, if so desired by the person.

In case of other category of persons with Benchmark Disabilities, the provision of scribe can be allowed on production of a certificate to the effect that the person concerned has physical limitation ‘to write and ·scribe is essential to write examination on his behalf, from the Chief Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government Health care institution as per proforma at Annexure A.

Important Guidelines for using Scribe

1. The candidates shall have to arrange his/ her own scribe at his/her own cost.

2. The qualification of scribe should be one step below the qualification of the candidate taking examination. The candidate opting for scribe should submit details of the own scribe as per proforma at Annexure B.

3. The scribe shall not be a student of the same institution/Centre where the test is being conducted and also not a relative of the candidate.

4. The .scribe engaged by the candidate shall not be a candidate for the same examination.

5. The scribe should have different qualification than the one required for the post.

6. A person acting as a scribe for one candidate cannot be a scribe for any other candidate.

7. The scribe shall produce a valid ID Proof in original at the time of examination.

8. The facility of scribe and/or compensatory time ~s mentioned above, shall be available only to those candidates who have filled their application form as PwBD candidate.

9. In case, any violation of the above is detected at any stage of the selection process, then candidate shall forfeit his/her right to the post.

10. Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities having physical limitation to write and, in whose case, scribe is essential to write examination on his/her behalf, are advised to submit the following documents to concerned centre superintendent a day before the scheduled date of examination for availing the facility of scribe.

i)  Person with disability certificate (Self -attested).

ii) Certificate regarding physical limitation to write(Annexure A)

iii) Letter of undertaking for using own scribe (Annexure B)

iv) Admit Card/Roll No and contact number.

v) Qualification certificate of scribe (self-attested).

Vi) Photocopy of the scribe’s ID Proof signed by both candidate as well as the scribe.
