Written examination notice for Junior Residents Posts in various disciplines of GMC Srinagar

It is hereby notified for information of all the concerned candidates who have applied for engagement against tenure post of Junior Resident (House Surgeons) in response to this office advertisement Notice No: 05 of 2025 dated. 29-03-2025 that their written examination will be held on 14-05-2025 (Wednesday) at 11:30AM to 12:30PM in Government Medical College, Srinagar.

The admit cards/roll no. slips of the candidates shall be available w.e.f. 06-05-2025 in their respective Registered User Accounts through which they applied for tenure post of Junior Resident (House Surgeons).

On the actual day of the examination, i.e. 14.05.2025, the candidates shall report at the examination center one hour before commencement of the examination for verification of their identity along with their admit cards (colored
form only) and anyone of the following documents as proof of their identity: –

a. Photo Identity card issued by the competent authority.

b. Driving license.

c. Pan card/Adhaar card.

The selection shall be made purely on the basis of merit obtained by the candidates in the written examination. However, in case of tie in merit obtained in the written test between two or more candidates, the following procedure shall be adopted to break the tie: –

a. In case of tie the candidate having secured higher percentage aggregate marks in MBBS will be given preference.

b. In case the tie remains unresolved after following the above procedure, the candidate older in age will be given preference.
