Engagement as Stipendiary Junior Resident

On the basis of merit obtained in the written exam and the current departmental requirements, Sanction is hereby accorded to the engagement of doctors figuring in ANNEXURE-A as Stipendiary Junior Residents at this Institute.
The tenure engagement of Junior Residency shall be governed by the following terms and conditions:
01. That the engagement is for a period of 06 months as a stipendiary Junior Resident. That the engagement shall not confer any right on the engagee to claim continuation or extension beyond the mentioned term and shall be deemed to be automatically relieved upon the expiry of the stipulated term.
02. That the Junior Resident shall be entitled to a monthly stipend of Rs. 43,700/- plus usual allowances as admissible under rules in terms of Govt. Order No. 41-SKIMS of 2018, dated: May 19, 2018.
03. That, due to limited hostel availability on campus, the engagee will not be eligible for hostel accommodation and will not be entitled to any claims for accommodation after joining.
04. That the engagee shall not undertake any kind of private practice (part-time or full-time) or engage in any other employment during their engagement with the institution.
05. That the administration reserves the right to adjust working hours, shifts, and duty timings as needed to meet the requirements of administration and patient care. The engagee shall adhere to the duty timings applicable at their place of posting.
06. That the first month’s salary of the engagee shall be kept as a security deposit and shall be released only after completion of tenure. In case any engagee desires to leave the residency midway they must provide one month’s advance notice, failing which first month’s salary, held as a security deposit would be forfeited and credited to CD-183 as a penalty.
07. That the engagee shall be entitled to 10 days casual leave during six monthβs tenure. No other kind of leave shall be granted. There will be no winter/summer vacation during the tenure engagement.
08. That the engagee shall maintain proper dress code and discipline as mandated by SKIMS from time to time.
09. The engagee shall be required to submit the Affidavit (duly Attested by 1st Class Judicial Magistrate) to the effect that:
a. In case an adverse report about his/her Character and Antecedents is received from the CID Headquarters, J&K, to whom a reference shall be made by this Department, he/she shall not claim for engagement which shall be deemed to have been cancelled abinitio;
b. If verification and genuineness of the qualification certificates from the concerned issuing authority is found fake/forged, the engagement of the candidate shall be deemed to have been cancelled abinitio and legal action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against him/her.
c. The salary of the engagee shall not be drawn and disbursed to him/her unless a satisfactory report in respect of (a) and (b) above is received in their favour.
d. That the first month’s salary of the engagee shall be kept as a security deposit and shall be released only after completion of tenure. If the doctor leaves the tenure prematurely/mid-way, the salary of the first month shall be appropriated as penalty and same shall be credited in CD-183.
e. He/she will not resort to indiscipline or be a part of any protest or strike within the SKIMS Campus. In case, he/she does so, he/she shall be deemed to have committed gross misconduct and shall be relieved/disengaged from the assignment from the date of resorting to such strike or protest without any prior notice. Non-compliance with terms and conditions shall otherwise make him/her liable for action as warranted under rules/law.
