Engagement of Counselors (Male & Female) on contract basis for the session 2025-26

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Regional Office Chandigarh invites the eligible candidates for Walk-in-interview for the empanelment and engagement of services of Counselors (Male & Female) purely on contract basis for the academic session 2025-26 in JNVs run in the States of Punjab, HP, Jammu & Kashmir (U.T.), Ladakh (U.T.), and Chandigarh (U.T.).

Interested candidates should report to the venue with original certificates and one set of self-attested copies of all relevant documents/testimonials at the time of the walk-in-interview.

Candidates failing to produce original documents at the time of verification of documents shall not be permitted to appear for the personal talk. JNVs being residential in nature, makes it mandatory for the selected teacher to reside in the Vidyalaya campus, to attend residential school duties besides their routine duties. Boarding and Lodging would be provided as per the availability in the JNV and as per NVS norms.

Remuneration —

Monthly consolidated remuneration of Rs. 44,900/-

(A) Essential Qualification

(a) Educational Qualification

1. Master’s Degree (M.A/M.Sc.) in Psychology from a recognized university or institution &

2. One year Diploma in guidance & counseling from a recognized university or institution.

(b) Experience

At least one year experience in Guidance & Counselling /Counselling in any recognized school/institute.

Age:

Above 28 years and below 50 years as 01.05.2025.

(B) Desirable Qualifications:

Certificate courses from recognized institutes in areas like :

* Cognitive behaviour therapy skills.

* Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder (ADHD).

* Behavioral issues and learning difficulties.

* Building emotional intelligence and resilience.

* Adolescence Education.

Application Fee: Non-refundable application Fee @ Rs. 500/- per candidate required to be paid by the candidates through online/Cash at the time of Personal Talk at the designated venue. However, SC/ ST/ PH candidates and those candidates who have already submitted the fees for the session 2025-26 are exempted.

Candidates already working as counselor in JNVs under Chandigarh Region need not applied again.
