Online applications from domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir are invited for the following position(s) available in the Directorate of IT & SS (DIT&SS), Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Kashmir purely on a contractual basis for a period of one year :
Post : Assistant Programmer

Eligibility :
(i) B. Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade
form a recognized University / Institute.
OR
(ii) MCA / M.Sc. Information Technology or equivalent with at least 55% marks or equivalent Grade from a recognized University / Institution.
Desirable :
Minimum two-year experience / expertise in software development in last five years
Important Dates & Information :
Consolidated Monthly Remuneration : Rs. 32,000/- (Thirty-two thousand only)
Availability of Online Application Form : 30-07-2025

Terms and Conditions / Instructions :
1. The engagement shall be purely contractual and shall not confer any right whatsoever on the prospective engagement to claim continuation or otherwise.
2. Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the University website www.iust.ac.in and pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- (Five hundred only). Further, the said candidates are not required to submit hard copies of the application forms
submitted online.
3. Eligible candidates will be informed about the date and place of written test / interview through e-mail / website whichever suitable. However, University does not take any responsibility for non-receipt or delayed receipt of the intimation by a candidate.
4. All relevant information / Updates / Addendum / Corrigendum shall be uploaded on University website www.iust.ac.in only. The Candidates are advised to remain in touch with University website and notifying the same in newspapers shall not be obligatory on
University part.
5. Candidates who have been awarded Under Graduate / Post Graduate degree from Foreign University should enclose Equivalence Certificate” issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi without which their candidature will not be considered and application form will be rejected.
6. The University reserves the right to defer / not to filling up of post advertised here-in above, without assigning any reason thereof.
7. The University reserves the right to increase/ decrease the number of posts advertised herein-above.
