Bridging Research with Sustainable Living and Wellness in Border Areas
Professor Yash Pal Sharma, Dean and Syed Azhar Hashmi from the University of Jammu called on General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff . They briefed the COAS on their discovery and findings on a rare variety of mushroom ‘Pleurotus Shentelli’, which grows only in trans-Himalayan region of Drass and Mushkoh.
The discussion focused on methods utilising the bio-diversity of the nation for augmenting wellness, medicinal benefits and promoting sustainable living for troops deployed in remote areas.
