JKBOPEE: Admission Notice for B. Architecture Course-2025
Notification No. 081-BOPEE of 2025
Consequent upon the declaration of results by NATA & JEE, applications are invited from eligible candidates belonging to the Union Territories of J&K / Ladakh, for admission to B.Arch. Course at GCET, Jammu (School of Architecture, GCET Campus Kot Bhalwal) & GCET Safapora, Ganderbal (School of Architecture Safapora, Ganderbal) for the academic session 2025-26. The selection of the candidates shall be governed by the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002 and the Rules and Regulations there under, JK Reservation Act, 2004 as amended vide J&K Reorganization Act, 2019, S.O 176 dated 15-03-2024 read with S.O 305 dated 21-05-2024, and subject to further amendments, if any, by the Competent Authority, issued from time to time.
Eligibility:
“No Candidate shall be admitted to Architecture course unless he/she has passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies with at least 45% marks in aggregate or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate”. Submission of Application Forms:
The interested candidates shall have to submit the Registration Cum Counselling Form physically at J&K BOPEE Office, Jammu/Srinagar, along with the following selfattested certificates w.e.f. 26-07-2025 to 01-08-2025 (up to 4:00 PM):
i. Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K/UT of Ladakh, as the case may be. For Candidates of the UT of Ladakh, the ST certificate issued by the competent Authority of Ladakh shall be treated as a Domicile Certificate.
ii. Qualifying marks (12th class) certificate with subjects mentioned above/10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject; whichever is applicable.
iii. Score card of NATA 2025 or JEE 2025 or both, as the case may be.
iv. Date of Birth (10th Marks card/Diploma issued by the recognized Board).
v. Valid Reserved category certificate, if any,
vi. Fee of Rs. 1200/= to be paid either through the POS machine available at the BOPEE office, Jammu/Srinagar by debit/credit card.
No under-process certificate will be accepted.
The application Form shall be available at the J&K BOPEE office, Jammu/Srinagar, and annexed as Annexure “A” to this Notification.
However, it is for the information of all concerned that the afore-titled documents, as required for submission of the application form, shall be considered provisional and subject to change(s) vide any order as may be issued by the Government subsequently.
Note-1:
1. Eligibility is bare minimum/provisional and shall be subject to such changes/benchmarks as may be fixed by the concerned University/Authority. The Board shall, on receipt of any such communication from the authority/university concerned, notify the same, which shall govern the eligibility criteria.
2. The seats in the above institutions shall be filled only after the Board receives approval of such course/intake from the Competent Authority concerned, if any, pending before the Competent Authority.
Mode of Selection/Admission:
There are tentatively 40 seats of B. Architecture (20 seats at GCET, Jammu & 20 seats at GCET Safapora, Ganderbal, Kashmir). The Board shall fill up these seats based on marks obtained in the 12th class examination/10+3 Diploma Examination.
In case two or more candidates have the same merit, then their tie shall be resolved by considering Mathematics Marks scored in 12th class examination/10+3 Diploma Examination & in case of further tie, the D.O.B of the candidate shall be considered for selection.
NATA 2025 is the qualifier Aptitude Test for admission to B.Arch. Program offered by the colleges is subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Council of Architecture.
Note-2:
1. Mere filling of the application form shall not confer any right on the candidate(s) for admission.
2. The Board has the right to accept /reject any application form at any stage if found to be false without issuing any notice to the candidate.
