Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the position of JRF (1) and one Project Associate (1) in DST-SHRI funded research project titled: “Preservation and Promotion of Endangered Dialects of Erstwhile Doda District with the Help of AI based Approaches.”
Name of the Positions:
(a) Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 (ONE)
(b) Project Associate – 01 (ONE)
Tenure of the Project: 03 years (Initial appointment is for 01 year which is extendable up to the project duration based on the progress of the candidate).
Emoluments: As per the DST rules.
Qualifications:
(a) Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
Essential: Master’s Degree in English with at least 55% marks and NET/ SLET qualified.
Desirable: Experience in phonetic transcription; Ability to record, classify, and transcribe oral data from local speakers; Experience in Dialect documentation; Must be familiar to Pahari Dialects; Should be comfortable in living in and visiting remote areas for field work; Competent in creating audio-visual archives; Familiarity with ELAN, PRAAT, or other annotation tools is a plus.
Age Limit:
(a) Junior Research Fellow (JRF): upper age limit is 28 years as on the day of the applications are received (5 years age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped/ OBC categories).
(b) Research Associate: upper age limit is 35 years.
