Recruitment in J&K Legal Services Authority Ramban
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for their engagement as Para Legal Volunteers in the District Legal Services Authority Ramban in pursuance to J&K LSA Communication No. JKLSA/LS/22/2021/1570-72 Dated 25.08.2025 strictly in terms of the Para Legal Volunteers Scheme (Revised).
The detailed procedure and conditions are given as follows:

1. Eligibility Categories: Applications are invited only from the categories prescribed under the Scheme, which includes Teachers (including retired teachers), Retired Government Servants and Senior Citizens, MSW students and teachers, Aanganwadi Workers, Doctors/Physicians, Students and Law Students (till enrolment as advocates), Members of non-political service-oriented NGOs/Clubs, Women Neighborhood Groups, Self Help Groups (including marginalized/vulnerable groups), Educated prisoners with good conduct serving long-term sentences, and any other persons deemed fit by the District Legal Services Authority, Ramban.
2. Eligibility Criteria: The candidate’s age must not be less than 18 years. Minimum prescribed educational qualification is 10+2. The candidates should apply with and submit their particulars along-with two self-attested photographs, Domicile certificate, a valid identity card, relevant education and experience certificates from 10th class onwards along with the application in the office of the District Legal Services Authority Ramban by or before the last date.
3. Terms of Engagement: It is hereby clearly mentioned that the work of PLVs does not carry any salary, remuneration or wages, and that only honorarium as fixed by the J&K LSA from time to time shall be payable.
4. Method of Selection: The Selection Committee is entitled to use its discretion and shortlist the number of candidates for interview depending upon the number of applications received. Preference shall be given to women candidates while considering the applications, and adequate representation shall also be ensured from SC/ST, minority and other backward classes, in accordance with the Para Legal Volunteers Scheme (Revised).
5. Mode of Inviting Applications: Interested candidates may submit their application form (as per the format provided below as Annexure-A) along with self- attested copies of all the educational and experience certificates (if any) in the Office of District Legal Services Authority Ramban. No other mode of submission shall be entertained.
The interview/interaction for assessment of personality test of the candidates shall be conducted by a Selection Committee to be constituted by the Hon’ble Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority. The date for the conduct of interviews shall be fixed and communicated by J&K Legal Services Authority separately after receipt of the compiled lists from each DLSA.
Note: No separate TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates appearing in the interview.
