Shortlisting of candidates for Conduct of Physical Standard Test (PST) for the post of Assistant Superintendent Jails, advertised vide Notification No. 02 of 2022, Item No. 41 in the Home Department.

NOTICE

Whereas, the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) conducted OMR based written examination for the post of Assistant Superintendent Jails, advertised vide Notification No. 02 of 2022, Item No. 41, on 13-07-2025; and

Whereas, the result/score-sheet for the above said examination was notified vide Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/23/2025-03 (7699962), dated: 04-08-2025; and

Whereas, the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) intends to conduct the Physical Standard Test (PST) of the eligible shortlisted candidates, tentatively in 1st week of October, 2025 at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu.

Accordingly, the candidates who are falling in the consideration zone for conduct of the PST for the aforementioned posts have been shortlisted for appearing in PST and are hereby notified as given in Annexure “A” to this notice.

Further, details including the exact date and time of PST shall be informed to the candidates through their Admit Cards which shall remain available for downloading from 30.09.2025. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website of the JKSSB.

It is further notified that:

i. Mere calling a candidate for the PST does not confer right upon him/her for selection and that he/she has to fulfill other eligibility conditions, as laid down in the rules of the Board in this regard.

ii. The PST shall be of qualifying nature only.

iii. The result of the PST shall be final.

iii. A candidate, who fails to appear in the PST on the given date, shall forfeit his/her right of consideration at any stage.

iv. Candidates are advised to bring Admit Card, one original photo ID Proof i.e. Aadhar card/Voter Card/Pan Card/Passport etc. mandatorily on the day of PST.

v. In case of any deficiency with reference to eligibility etc., proved at the time of PST, the candidate shall not be allowed to appear in the PST.

vi. Any candidate found guilty of impersonating or submitting fabricated/tampered documents/testimonials or making false and incorrect
