Army soldier martyred in Udhampur encounter
A soldier, who was critically injured in a gunfight with terrorists, succumbed to his injuries as the Army and police resumed a joint hunt for terrorists in a remote forest area in the higher reaches of the Udhampur district early Saturday, officials said.
Security tightened in Udhampur district, especially on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, after an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Seoj Dhar area of Udhampur District, at Doda-Udhampur Border last evening.
