  1. Private Sector Growth Slows Slightly, But Still Strong
    India’s flash PMI (Purchasing Managers’ Index) data in September showed that while the private sector is expanding well, there’s a slight cooling off compared to August. Composite PMI dropped to 61.9 from 63.2

    • Manufacturing PMI fell to about 58.5

    • Services PMI also eased a bit to ~61.6

    • The cooling is partly attributed to weaker international demand and effects of tariffs.

  2. Major Infrastructure Projects in Arunachal Pradesh
    Prime Minister Modi inaugurated infrastructure projects worth ₹5,100 crore in Arunachal Pradesh, including hydropower projects in Shi Yomi district and a convention centre in Tawang, as well as investments in roads, healthcare, and fire & emergency services.

  3. Make in India 10th Anniversary: New Initiatives & Commemorative Coin
    To mark 10 years of the Make in India initiative, Union Minister Piyush Goyal launched six new initiatives, and a Rs.100 commemorative coin (India’s first coloured coin) was released.

  4. World Food India 2025
    PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate World Food India 2025 on 25 September. The event is aimed at boosting investment in the food processing sector and positioning India as a hub of food innovation. Key ministers and representatives from other countries (e.g. Russia) will participate.

  5. Roadmap for Automobile Manufacturing & Green Mobility
    At the International Value Summit 2025 in New Delhi, Nitin Gadkari (Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways) unveiled a plan to transform India into a leading hub for automobile manufacturing, green mobility, and infrastructure innovation.

  6. AI & Frontier Tech Push by NITI Aayog
    NITI Aayog launched two key initiatives:

    • AI for Viksit Bharat Roadmap

    • Frontier Tech Repository under the Frontier Tech Hub

  7. Satellite Programme Approved
    India approved a ₹27,000 crore programme to launch 52 surveillance satellites starting from 2026. This also includes exploring “bodyguard satellites” to protect existing space assets after near-miss incidents.

🌍 Global / Other

  1. UN Secretary-General on Security Council Reform
    António Guterres (UNSG) reiterated calls for reforming the UN Security Council so that it reflects current global realities rather than those of 1945. He also described India as a “pivotal voice” in the multilateral order.
