Applications are invited for the post of Field Investigator (Project Technical Support – III) on temporary basis for a period of 12 months for the project titled “Population Based Cancer Registries in India” (PBCR) sponsored by National Center for Disease Informatics & Research (NCDIR-ICMR) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India.

Eligibility:

Essential Qualification:

Three years’ degree in Social Work / Medical Sociology / Anthropology / Psychology from a recognized university with 5 years’ experience in the relevant community-based studies in health & social sciences.
OR

Master’s Degree in Social Work / Medical Sociology / Anthropology / Psychology or Graduate with 2 years’ diploma in Social Work.

Desirable Qualification:

Knowledge of use of computer software for qualitative and quantitative data analysis, Data Collection, documentation, data entry, data cleaning, data transcription.

Experience:

3 years’ experience in related field

How to apply:

Candidates are directed to submit filled application form (Annexure-I) along with all relevant documents in Room No 229, Department of Radiation Oncology SKIMS, Srinagar up to 4th October 2025. Applications submitted after cutoff date or with incomplete documents will not be entertained.

Date of Interview for the shortlisted candidates will be communicated separately.

The terms & conditions for the post are as follows :

1.) The posts will be filled up purely on temporary basis.

2.) The appointment can be terminated with one-month notice from either side without assigning any reason.

3.) Since the post is purely temporary, the selected candidate will have to give an undertaking duly attested by a first-class Judicial Magistrate that he/she will abide by the terms and conditions of engagement laid down for the project and not make any claim for regular appointment or continuation of his/her services beyond the stipulated term. Moreover, the undertaking must mention that the candidate will not approach any Honorable court/Tribunal for filing writ application or any other proceedings seeking therein the continuation of engagement term beyond the stipulated tenure.

4.) The remuneration will be subject to funding from the sponsoring agency. SKIMS will have no financial implication in this regard.

5.) Tenure of engagements of selected candidates will be regardless of duration of the project.

6.) No TA/DA etc. will be given to attend the Interview.

7.) Qualification and experience should be from any Govt. recognized reputed organization.

8.) Experience will be counted only after completion of minimum education qualification.

9.) Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee for the interview call and selection.

10.) Candidates are advised to constantly check SKIMS website for further updates.

11.) Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
