GMC Srinagar Revised selection list for Various Posts
(1) Revised selection list for the tenure post of Senior Residents in the discipline of Orthopaedics, Government Medical College Srinagar.
Consequent upon non-joining of (01) candidate and the vacancy occurred in the department of Orthopaedics due to resignation of 01 candidate, the following candidate(s) are hereby upgraded to the Selection in the respective department being next to in the waiting list:
Consequent upon the above and pursuant to the instructions issued by General Administration Department vide Order No. 528-JK(GAD) of 2021 Dated. 21-06-2021 read with 1003-JK(GAD) of 2021 Dated. 27-09-2021, the selected doctor(s) listed above in this notification are hereby directed to report to the Office of the Registrar Academics, Government Medical College, Srinagar along with the following documents within 07 days from the date of issuance of this notification, to enable this office to send URL, login ID & Password to their registered Mobile number for submission of online form through Employee Verification System (EVS) for Verification of Character and Antecedents to the concerned doctor: –
1. Application form (in colored).
2. xerox copies of all uploaded certificates.
3. Affidavit (in original).
4. All Original Certificates for physical verification.
Moreover, if the selected candidate(s) fails to submit Employee Verification System through online portal in the stipulated time, their selection in the respective discipline shall forfeit without any further notice.

(2)Selection List for the tenure post of Senior Residents in various Departments of GMC Srinagar
Whereas; vide Government Order No. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 Dated. 20.06.2024 Criteria/Policy Guidelines for Eligibility/Selection were framed by the Administrative Department, Health and Medical Education for eligibility/selection of the tenured positions of Senior Residents/Tutor in all the Government Medical Colleges; and
Whereas; after the issuance of the aforesaid guidelines, this office vide Advertisement Notice issued under No. 12 OF 2025 Dated. 13-09-2025 invited applications from the eligible candidates possessing requisite qualification for filling up of tenure posts of Senior Resident/Demonstrator (In-service/not In-service doctors) in the various disciplines of Government Medical College, Srinagar; and
Whereas; in response to the aforesaid Advertisement Notice, this office has received 76 application forms in 14 departments/disciplines; and
Whereas; on scrutiny of application forms, it was found that in the following 09 disciplines/departments, the number of applications are less than or equal to the vacant positions:
1.Anesthesiology
2. Biochemistry
3. Medical Oncology
4. Medicine
5. Neonatology
6. Paediatrics
7. Psychiatry
8. Radiation Oncology
whereas; in terms of Government Order NO. 383-JK (HME) of 2024 Dated. 20.06.2024 there is no need to conduct written tests for selection purpose in the disciplines where the number of applications is less than or equal to the posts advertised.
whereas, this office has received one application form for the post of Demonstrator (Non-Medicos) in the department of Biochemistry namely Dr. Syed Douhath Yousuf, M.SC, Ph.D in Biochemistry. The said Candidate is not fulfilling the eligibility criteria as per the Teachers Eligibility Qualifications framed by National Medical Commission Dated. 30th June 2025, hence her candidature is rejected.
Now, therefore, in light of the above stated position, the selection list comprising of 19 candidates in the aforesaid disciplines /departments as indicated in the Annexure “A” to this Notification is hereby notified for information of all concerned. However, selection of the candidates whose postgraduate result is awaited shall be subject to passing of their Final postgraduate Examination.
