Job Recruitment in University of Jammu

Applications are invited form the eligible candidates for the position of JRF (1) and one Project Associate (1) in DST-SHRI funded research project titled: “Promotion of Endangered Dialects of Erstwhile Doda District with the Help of AI based Approaches.”

Name of the Positions : Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 01 (ONE)

Tenure of the Project : 03 years (Initial appointment is for 01 year which is extendable up to the project duration based on the progress of the candidate)

Emoluments : As per the DST rules

Qualifications :
Junior Research Fellow (JRF):
Essential : Master’s Degree in English with at least 55% marks and NET/ SLET qualified.

Desirable : Experience in phonetic transcription, Ability to record, classify, and transcribe oral data from local speakers; Experience in Dialect documentation; Must be familiar to Pahari Dialects; Should be comfortable in living in and visiting remote areas for field work; Competent in creating audio-visual archives; Familiarity with ELAN, PRAAT, or other annotation tools is a plus.

 

Age Limit :
Upper age limit is 28 years as on the day of the applications are received (5 years age relaxation for candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Physically Handicapped/ OBC categories).
