Project Associate-I

Essential qualifications – MSc in Chemistry /MSc Food Tech

Desirable qualifications – Experience in extraction of natural products.
Hands on experience in LC-MS, GC-MS, Flash Chromatography, Supercritical fluid Chromatography, Characterization of bio-active compounds in plant extracts; writing of reports / manuscripts / documents related to research work.

Job description : The candidate would be involved in a research project on ‘Survey, collection, extraction, isolation and chemical characterization of therapeutic molecules from medicinal plants for chronic disease’.

Fellowship :
(i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through

a) National Eligibility Tests -CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE
or

b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.

ii) Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under

Terms and conditions :

1. The selected candidate will be on a contract initially for one year, which may be extended to another one year depending upon performance.

2. No hostel / housing will be provided.

3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit. The date and time of interview will be informed.

4. Selection committee of DST sponsored PURSE project at Islamic University of Science and Technology reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for shortlisting the eligible candidates.
