Engagement of Snow Safety Officer for Ski resort, Gulmarg, Kashmir J&K for the year 2025-26.

Notice

The Department of Tourism J&K invites offers from certified/accredited “Snow Safety Officers” to head the Ski Patrol Team in Gulmarg for the winter season 2025-26 for a period of 03 months w.e.f. 01-01-2026.
The Snow Safety Officer must be qualified in Avalanche Snow Studies (Level-2/3) and must have 03 to 04 years of experience of working as Snow Safety Officer/using Explosives for triggering of Avalanches.

The role of the selected Officer would be:

To lead the Ski Patrol in a proactive manner.

To segregate the mountains into marked and unmarked zones.

To launch avalanche mitigation and controlled use of Explosives for Avalanche triggering.

To take a weather call and issue advisories/notices accordingly.

To evacuate injured skiers and administer First Aid.

To train the local Ski Patrol Team.

To develop strategies pertinent to local conditions.

To advise J&K State Cable Car Corporation and Tourism Department regarding operation of Ski Lifts.

To submit an annual report of the resort after completion of the contract.

Full résumé including scanned copies of relevant certificates/accredited courses in Snow Safety, Experience certificates, letters of recommendation (if any).

QUOTE of professional charges for 03 months in US Dollar.

Note: The bid for professional charges should be inclusive of all Taxes and other charges including To and Fro Airfare, however boarding and lodging shall be provided by J&K Tourism Department. The department shall not arrange for insurance of the selected Snow Safety Officer and shall not be held liable in case of minor/major or fatal injury or death.

The last date of receipt of offer is 10-11-2025.
