Jammu Police solved Ring Road Miran Sahib burning of person case
On 10.11.2025 morning information was received from reliable sources that an incident occurred in which a person namely Puran Chand(Age about 55 years) S/o Dev Raj R/o H no.39 Ward no 2 Devi Dawara Mandir, R S Pura was found burning in open fields near Ring road Prithvipur in the Jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib.
Immediately Police party led by SHO Miran Sahib rushed to the spot,control fire along with some civilians and shifted the injured person to GMC Jammu for treatment,where the injured succumbed later on to his injuries.The deceased was a Govt. employee in Irrigation Department serving as helper in the Tube-Well Irrigation.
Police immediately take cognisance of the incident & FIR 109/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Miran Sahib.
Investigation was started by a Police team led by SHO Police Station Miran Sahib to minutely investigate the case from all the angles to get factual details on the incident.
FSL team was also immediately called on spot for inspection of Scene of Crime to collect scientific evidences.
Later, CCTV footage was obtained from the cameras covering the route taken by the deceased, Puran Chand S/o Dev Raj R/o Ward No. 02, House No. 39, R.S. Pura, while he was traveling on his motorcycle. The footage shows him arriving at RG Filling Station, Thikrian, R.S. Pura, where he filled petrol in a plastic container (cane). After refuelling, the deceased proceeded towards Miran Sahib.
On the basis of Circumstantial, technical & scientific evidences including content of vital viral videos, technical analysis, CCTV footages & statements of some witnesses in the case, investigation so far points towards extreme step taken by the deceased under constant mental harassment (including withholding of salary from past few months) by some office seniors of the deceased.
During the course of investigation,03 employees of Irrigation Department namely
(1) Surjeet Kumar(Incharge Ziladar in Irrigation Department) S/o Bhadur Lal R/o Deoli, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu,
2) Girdhari Lal (amin in Irrigation Department ,Sub-division R S Pura)S/o Pakhu Ram R/o Salehar, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu &
3) Ram Murti @ Sani(Incharge Ziladar in Irrigation Department, Sub-division R S Pura)S/o Kuldeep Singh R/o Arnia, Tehsil Arnia, District Jammu.
