India–US LPG Deal
India has signed its first structured contract to import LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) from the United States
The deal is for 2.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), covering roughly 10% of India’s LPG import needs.
LPG will be sourced from the U.S. Gulf Coast and uses Mount Belvieu as the price benchmark.
Indian state oil PSUs involved: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL).
Fisheries / Aquaculture
According to FAO’s SOFIA 2024 report, India is now the second-largest producer of aquatic animals, signaling its strength in aquaculture.
Marine products export is up: shrimp & other seafood exports have grown to ~USD 0.90 bn by Oct 2025.
Inland fisheries have doubled their production since 2013-14, showing huge growth in internal fish farming.
India’s Fisheries Infrastructure Development Fund (FIDF): ₹ 7,522 cr corpus has been mobilized to build ports, cold chains, and aquaculture parks.
Defence Manufacturing / Exports
India’s defence production hit a record high in FY 2024–25, with strong contributions from both DPSUs and private firms.
Defence exports for the same year were ₹ 23,622 crore, showing India’s growing role in the global defence market.

HAL Tejas Crash at Dubai Airshow
A HAL Tejas LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) belonging to the IAF crashed during a performance at the Dubai Air Show 2025.
The crash resulted in the death of a Wing Commander–rank pilot.
The IAF has constituted a court of inquiry to investigate the cause.
International Film Festival of India (IFFI) Begins
The 56th IFFI started on 20 Nov 2025 in Goa.
It’s being held at the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Panaji.
