1. India Re-elected to Codex Alimentarius Executive Committee

India secured a seat again in the Executive Committee (CCEXEC) of the Codex Alimentarius Commission for the Asia region.

The Codex sets global food-safety standards, and is jointly managed by FAO and WHO.

One Health Mission Assembly Concludes

The National One Health Mission Assembly 2025 ended in New Delhi.

The focus was on improving community-led preparedness against health threats arising at the human-animal-environment interface

Sixth International Agronomy Congress

The 6th International Agronomy Congress is scheduled to begin in New Delhi on 24 November 2025.

Theme: “Re-envisioning Agronomy for Smart Agro-Food Systems and Environmental Protection.”

Earthquake in Bangladesh

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake struck Bangladesh on 21 Nov 2025, causing at least 5 deaths and damage to buildings.

Tremors were reportedly felt in nearby parts of India as well.

US-India Defence Sales

The United States approved a $93 million military sale to India, including Javelin anti-tank missiles and Excalibur precision artillery.

This deal is part of ongoing defence cooperation between the two nations.

The Uttar Pradesh government approved a “Right to Sit” proposal for its employees. \

Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) Expansion

In its 7th NSA-level meeting, the Seychelles was made a full member of the Colombo Security Conclave.

G20 Summit — Johannesburg

The 2025 G20 Summit is being held on 22–23 November 2025 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This is notable as the first G20 summit in Africa, with a theme around Solidarity, Equality, Sustainability.
