159 INFANTRY BATTALION (TERRITORIAL ARMY) (HOME & HEARTH) DOGRA

1. 159 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home & Hearth) DOGRA will be organising recruitment rally at Chinchora, Doda (Jammu and Kashmir) from 07 December 2025 to 18 December 2025, Eligible candidates volunteer to join the Territorial Army may report for screening at 0700 Hr as per given schedule. Entry from main Gate will open at 0700 Hr and close at 0900 Hr strictly. Document checking, screening and medical test of candidates screened in the rally will be held at the venue.

3. Vacancies for Recruitment.

3.1. Soldier (General Duty) -166

4. Eligibility Criteria.

4.1. Age18 to 42 years as on date of recruitment.

4.2. Educational Qualification Soldier (General Duty). Class 10th / Matric pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject. For Boards following grading system minimum of D Grade (33-40) in individual subjects or grade which contains 33% and overall aggregate of C2 grade or equivalent corresponding to 45% in aggregate.

4.3. Tattoos. Persons with tattoos, visible in physical training dress, are not eligible.

4.4. Domicile Certificate. As applicable.

4.5. Physical Standards.

4.5.1. Height – 160 cms.

4.5.2. Weight – Proportionate to height & age as per Army Medical Standard.

4.5.3. Chest – 82 cms (77 cms unexpanded).

4.6. Relaxation in Physical Standards. Height Weight Chest

4.6.1. Sons of Servicemen. Ex-Servicemen, War widow & widow of Ex-Servicemen, 02 Cms 02Kgs 01 Cm

adopted son/ son-in-law of a War Widow, if she has no son

4.6.2. Outstanding sportsmen (International, National & State level) 03 Cms 03Kgs 03 Cms

5. Physical Fitness Test. Physical fitness test of 1 Mile Run. Pull Ups, Zizgag Balance & 9 Feet Ditch will be conducted.

6. Medical Inspection. Should be medically fit. Shortlisted candidates shall undergo medical inspection.

7. Written Examination.

7.1 Candidates who qualify in the physical and medical examination will undergo written examination, the Question Paper of which would be bilingual (English & Hindi).

7.2. Implementation of negative marking will be as under:-

7.2.1. Each Correct Answer 02 Marks (Two marks)

7.2.2. Each Incorrect Answer -1 Marks (Minus one mark)

7.2.3. Unattempted questions 0 Mark (Zero mark)

8. Screening/ Aptitude Test. Screening/ Aptitude Test will be conducted separately for Soldier General Duty.

10. Note:-

10.1 For detailed instructions, refer advertisement published in the Employment News of 01 Nov 2025. The education qualification, eligibility criteria, physical standards and relaxations, written exam and Screening/ Aptitude test are similar as given in Employment News on 01 Nov 2025.

10.2. Territorial Army is purely voluntary organisation with part time commitment only. The organisation does not provide or promise any permanent employment.

10.3. The initial period of enrolment will be 07 (seven) years only. Extension beyond initial 07 (seven) years are subject to organization requirement & fulfillment of other criteria as laid down from time to time.

10.4. The authorities conducting the rally will not be responsible for any accident/ injuries to the candidates during recruitment rally.

10.5. Drug test shall be conducted on the candidates who will qualify the written exam and appearing for Screening/ Aptitude Test.
