Online Applications from the domiciles of UT of Jammu & Kashmir are invited for the following position(s) available in the Islamic University of Science & Technology, Kashmir purely on contract basis for a period of six months:

Post : Junior Technical Assistant

No. of Posts : 01

Eligibility :

Essential :
(i) B. Tech / B.E. / B.Sc. Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Computer Science / Electronics &
Communication Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Grade Point Average from a recognized University / Institute.

(ii) A minimum of one-year experience in the field of Network Support / Network Security / Hardware & Software
Maintenance & Biometric Systems.

Desirable :
(i) Good Communication Skills.
(ii) Experience in University or other large institutional setup will be preferred

Last date of submission of hard copy of the Form : 16-12-2025
Consolidated monthly remuneration : Rs. 25,000/- (twenty-five thousand only)

Terms and Conditions / Instructions :

1. The engagement shall be purely contractual and shall not confer any right whatsoever on the prospective engagement to claim continuation or otherwise.

2. Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the University website (www.iust.ac.in) and pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- (five hundred only). Upon successful submission of the online application, candidates must submit the hard copy of the duly filled application form, along with self-attested copies of all relevant documents and certificates, to the office of the Director, DIT&SS, on any working day, on or before the last date of submission. Failure to submit the hard copy within the stipulated time shall result in cancellation of candidature

3. Eligible candidates will be informed about the date & place of written test / interview through e-mail/ website whichever suitable. However, University does not take any responsibility for non-receipt or delayed receipt of the intimation by a candidate.

4. All relevant information / Updates/ Addendum/ Corrigendum shall be uploaded on University website www.iust.ac.in only. The Candidates are advised to remain in touch with University website and notifying the same in newspapers shall not be obligatory on
University part.

5. Candidates who have been awarded Under Graduate / Post Graduate degree from Foreign University should enclose Equivalence Certificate” issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi without which their candidature will not be considered and application form will be rejected.

6. The University reserves the right to defer / not to filling up of post advertised here-in above, without assigning any reason thereof.

7. The University reserves the right to increase/ decrease the number of posts advertised here-in-above.

8. The appointed candidates shall be bound to act in conformity with the Statutes, Ordinances, Regulations, and rules of the University as well as a code of professional ethics as prescribed or may come into force.

9. The engagement order / salary in favour of the recommended candidate(s) shall not be issued until a satisfactory report about his / her character & antecedents from relevant agencies is not received.

10. In case of any disputes /suites or legal proceedings against the University, the jurisdiction shall be confined to the court of Srinagar only.

11. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for appearing in the test / interview.
