FFRC Issues Strict Directions to Schools on Transport Fee & Advance Fee Charges in J&K
Charging of Transport Fee and Advance Fee by Schools
It has come to the notice of the Committee that certain schools are asking for the full transport fee during the vacations. In this behalf, the Committee has already issued a circular stating that only 50% transport fee is to be charged from the students during the winter and summer vacations — winter vacations in winter zones and summer vacations in summer zones. The schools are directed not to charge more than 50% of the transport fee during the winter vacations in winter zones.
Another complaint that has been received is with respect to demanding advance fees. In this behalf, the Committee has already issued a circular stating that no advance fee shall be charged from the students. Tuition fee shall be charged on a monthly basis.
However, if any parent/student is interested in paying the advance fee, he/she may do so. Those who do not want to pay the advance fee shall not be compelled by the school.
