Walk-in Interview for the Posts of Assistant Professor
Applications are invited from eligible and desirous candidates for a walk-in interview for the temporary positions of Assistant Professors on academic arrangement basis in the Faculty of Dairy Technology, on 30-12-2025.
The particulars of the posts are given below:
1. Dairy Engineering
Number of positions: 01
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Dairy Engineering / Food Engineering / Food Process Engineering
OR
Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Dairy Engineering
OR
Candidates having a Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines as listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible. In such case, he/she does not have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.
2. Dairy Microbiology
Number of positions: 02
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Dairy Microbiology
OR
Master’s degree in Veterinary Microbiology with specialization in Dairy Microbiology
OR
Candidates having a Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines as listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible. In such case, he/she does not have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.
3. Dairy Chemistry
Number of positions: 01
Essential Qualification:
Master’s degree in Dairy Chemistry
OR
Master’s degree in Veterinary or Animal Sciences with specialization in Dairy Chemistry
OR
Candidates having a Ph.D. degree in concerned disciplines as listed above under point 1 and 2 criteria shall also be eligible. In such case, he/she does not have the eligibility qualification specified above at master’s level.
Note :
Essential qualification at graduate level for the post of Assistant Professor in Faculty of Dairy Technology: B.Tech./ B.E/ B.Sc. (Four Years degree Programme)/ B.V. Sc & A.Н.
Consolidated wages will be Rs 35,000/per month for Masters’ and Rs 45,000 for Ph.D. candidates
The Interview shall be conducted on 30-12-2025 at 02.30 PM in the office of Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology, SKUAST-J, R.S Pura 181102, Jammu (J&K). However, the candidates should report at 10:00 AM positively so, that their Documents shall be Screerf on time.
The application form complete in all respect along with attested copies of the certificates and accompanied with Demand Draft of Rs 300/- drawn in favour of Dean, Faculty of Dairy Technology, payable at R.S. Pura should be deposited in the office at the time of
interview.

Terms and conditions for academic arrangement are as under :
1. The engagement shall be purely on contract basis.
2. No legal right to claim his/her regularization/ appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post in the University would be entertained. In event of the relinquishing of the engagement one month notice is essential.
3. The appointment is for one semester or till the sanctioned posts are filled through recruitment process by the Competent Authority, whichever is earlier. The extension for one more semester may be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the contractee and availability of the funds and requirement of the faculty.
4. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
