Educational Qualification :
The educational qualifications for various Young Professional categories and domains are summarised below.
For YP – Graduate (Projects):
BE/B.Tech in EC/CS/Mechanical/IT/EEE/Civil or MCA/M.Sc. (Electronics/CS/IT) from a recognised University/Institute.
For YP – Technician (Projects):
Diploma in EC/CS/Mechanical/IT/EEE/Civil from a recognised University/Institute.
For YP – Operator (Projects):
ITI Trade Certificate in EC/CS/Mechanical/IT/EEE/Civil from a recognised Institute.
For YP – Graduate (Project Management):
MBA in Project Management/Operations Management or M.Sc. in Project Management from a recognised University/Institute.
For YP – Graduate (IS & IT):
Essential: BE/B.Tech in IT/CS/ECE/EEE or MCA/M.Sc. (IT/CS) from a recognised University/Institute; desirable skills include proficiency in PHP/Python/Java, HTML/CSS/JS, MySQL/PostgreSQL and Linux server environment.
For YP – Technician (IS & IT):
Essential: B.Sc (IT)/BCA/Diploma in CS from a recognised University/Institute; desirable knowledge of network fundamentals, VPN, firewall basics, Linux/Windows systems and end-user support.
For YP – Graduate (Comp. Lab):
BE/B.Tech in IT/CS from a recognised University/Institute.
For Comp. Lab/Production (Graduate/Technician roles):
– B.Sc in Chemistry or Diploma in Chemical Engineering with minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in conformal coating, OR Diploma in CS/Electronics with minimum 2 years’ experience in testing/measurement systems as specified.
For YP – Operator (Computer Lab/Production):
ITI Trade Certificate in Electronics/Electronic Mechanic with minimum 2 years’ experience and VSSC Soldering School certification; or ITI Fitter with minimum 2 years’ relevant experience.
For YP – Graduate (TSTL):
BE/B.Tech in ECE/CS/Telecommunications or MCA/M.Sc.(CS/IT)/M.Sc. Cybersecurity from a recognised University/Institute with minimum 2–5 years post-qualification experience (depending on slot) and industry-recognised certifications in IT/Telecom Security Testing desirable.
For YP – Technician (Production/Manufacturing):
Diploma in CS/ECE/EEE/Civil/Mechanical from a recognised University/Institute.
For YP – Operator (Production/Manufacturing):
ITI Trade Certificate in CS/ECE/EEE/Civil/Mechanical/Fitter from a recognised Institute.
For YP – Generalist (HR):
Any Degree from a recognised University with mandatory knowledge of computer and applications.
For YP – Graduate (Marketing):
Any Degree with MBA in Marketing from a recognised University/Institute.
For YP – Generalist (Marketing):
BBA/BBM/BMS from a recognised University/Institute with knowledge of computer.
For YP – Generalist (Finance):
Any Degree from a recognised University with mandatory knowledge of computer and applications.
For YP – Official Language (Hindi Cell):
Any degree from recognised University with Hindi as subject and English as medium of examination, OR any degree with English as subject and Hindi as medium, OR any degree with Hindi and English as elective/optional subjects.
Age Limit :
Candidates applying for Young Professional posts must satisfy the prescribed upper age limits as on the date of advertisement, with relaxations for internal candidates as per ITI rules. Internal candidates with relevant experience are eligible for age relaxation up to a maximum of 45 years, while general upper age limit for Young Professional – Technician/Generalist is indicated as 35 years in Table-A.

Young Professional Selection Process 2026
The Young Professional selection is based on a two-stage process involving shortlisting through a quantifiable point-based methodology followed by assessment via Group Discussion & Personal Interview for graduates or Skill Test for technicians/operators. Only those who qualify in the shortlisting stage are called for the assessment stage, and no TA/DA is paid for attending interview/skill test or for initial joining.
The Young Professional selection process is carried out in two main stages for each stream as explained below.
1. Screening / Shortlisting of Candidates:
Candidates are shortlisted based on a quantifiable point-based methodology derived through a component weightage system considering parameters like qualification, experience and other relevant factors. The shortlist is prepared separately for Young Professional – Graduates and Young Professional – Technicians/Operators as per domain requirements.
2. Assessment Stage:
(i) For Young Professional – Graduates: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process consisting of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Final merit is prepared based on performance in GD and PI as per corporate norms.
(ii) For Young Professional – Technicians & Operators: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Skill Test relevant to their domain/role as part of the assessment stage.
Final Merit: The final selection of Young Professionals is based on performance in the assessment stage (GD & PI for graduates, skill test for technicians/operators) subject to verification of documents and fulfilment of all eligibility and medical fitness norms.

Salary :
Candidates selected as Young Professionals in ITI Limited will receive consolidated monthly remuneration as per Table-A of the notification without additional allowances like DA, accommodation, medical reimbursement etc. In case of posting in tough locations, Young Professionals will be entitled to benefits under ITI’s Tough Location Policy in addition to the consolidated pay.
