Winter Vacation for Faculty members of SKIMS for the year 2026
Sanction is hereby accorded to the availing of Winter Vacation (first half / second half) for the year 2026 by the faculty members of SKIMS (Department wise) as shown in annexure to this office order with the following terms and conditions:-
1. 50% faculty staff remains available during each half of the vacation period.
2. One senior faculty member shall remains available in the respective departments during each half wherever possible.
3. Faculty members intending to forgo vacations shall be entitled to earned leave proportionately (22 days for a week). No earned leave shall be credited if the forgone vacation period is less than a week.
4. HODs of respective departments shall ensure normal patient care services and academic activities of the department during vacation.
5. None of the faculty members will be allowed to participate in the conference during on duty vacation period.
6. The station leaving permission shall be restricted “within the country only”.
7. The faculty members proceeding for vacation should intimate their immediate contact details through their departure reports addressed to the Administration to meet any eventuality of emergency, particularly or otherwise so that faculty staff on vacation could be called back to duty any moment in case of emergencies and if need arises.
8. Faculty members who intend to visit outside India during vacation can apply separately and should not leave the station without the approval of Competent Authority.
9. During the vacation of HOD’s, the next Senior faculty member) available shall act as I/C HOD’s in their respective Departments.
