J&K Govt Takes Charge of Safety Measures for Its People in Iran
Amid the ongoing situation in Iran, the Jammu and Kashmir Government has appointed a senior officer to oversee coordination for the safety and welfare of residents and students from the Union Territory currently in the country.

As per an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) and reported by a news agency, Shri Anil Sharma, JKAS, Additional Resident Commissioner of the J&K Government in New Delhi, has been nominated as the nodal officer for this purpose.
The appointed officer will liaise with the Ministry of External Affairs, the Indian Embassy and Consular officials in Iran, as well as other concerned agencies to ensure effective information exchange and timely assistance.
