PSAJK Urges JKBOSE to Relax Syllabus for Jammu Division Students
The Private Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) on Tuesday reiterated its demand for syllabus relaxation for students of the Jammu Division appearing in the upcoming JKBOSE examinations.
In an official statement, PSAJK President Nazrul Islam Baba emphasized that students from the Jammu Division—especially those in the Chinab Valley and Poonch regions—have suffered significant academic loss due to severely reduced learning time.

Stressing the need for fairness in education, Baba said that academic parity must be upheld across regions. He pointed out that if learning loss was considered the basis for granting syllabus relaxation to students in the Kashmir Division, denying similar relief to students in Jammu would be discriminatory and academically unjust.
“Students should not be penalized for regional and situational disadvantages that are beyond their control,” he stated.
Baba further warned that any departure from uniform academic relief would exacerbate regional disparities and erode the credibility of the evaluation system.

Reaffirming PSAJK’s full support for the genuine demands of students from Chinab Valley and Poonch, he urged JKBOSE Chairman and Education Minister Sakina Itoo to step in and take decisive action on the matter.
