Bhagwati Nagar Flyover Work: Traffic Diversions Announced
TRAFFIC ADVISORY
In view of the ongoing construction work of the Flyover at Bhagwati Nagar and in order to ensure smooth regulation of traffic, prevent congestion, and ensure public safety, the following traffic diversions and regulatory instructions are hereby issued for Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) and e-buses, with immediate effect and until further orders:-

1. Movement of HMVs / e-buses from Jewel Side towards Bhagwati Nagar:-
All HMVs and e-buses coming from Jewel Chowk side towards Bhagwati Nagar shall not ply directly through the Canal Head-Bhagwati Nagar stretch and shall strictly follow the route given below:-
Jewel ● Canal Head ● Talab Tillo ● Patta Bohri ● Gol Gujral ● Bhagwati Nagar
2. Movement of HMVs / e-buses from Jammu South towards Bhagwati Nagar / Akhnoor
All HMVs and e-buses coming from Jammu South and destined towards Bhagwati A Nagar and further towards Akhnoor shall follow the alternate route as under:-
Jammu Souths 4th Bridge ● Bhagwati Nagar ● Gol Gujral ● Patta Bohri ● Paloura ● Akhnoor.
3 Instructions for e-buses Deployed by Jammu Municipal Corporation(JMC)
a. All e-buses operated/deployed by JMC shall strictly adhere to the above diversion routes and shall operate accordingly.
b. All JMC e-buses proceeding towards the Charging Station at Bhagwati Nagar shall avoid the Canal Head-Bhagwati Nagar Rotary stretch and shall use the alternate route as mentioned above.
c. JMC shall ensure that drivers and route supervisors are properly briefed regarding the revised routes and traffic restrictions.
d. JMC shall designate a nodal officer to coordinate with the Traffic Police, Jammu for day- to-day operational issues and compliance monitoring.

4. General Instructions
* The Traffic Police, Jammu shall ensure strict enforcement of this advisory and deploy adequate personnel at vulnerable and congested points.
* Road signage, barricades and diversion boards shall be installed at all diversion points.
* General public and commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance and cooperate with the authorities.
This advisory is issued in public interest to facilitate smooth traffic movement during the execution of the Bhagwati Nagar Flyover Project.
Any violation of this advisory shall invite action as per law.
